Production Supervisor (Printing or Packaging)

We are partnered with a global, industry-leading Printing and Packaging company located in Northern Kentucky to find a skilled 3rd Shift Production Supervisor to oversee operations on the finishing/gluing production floor. This role is essential in ensuring shift productivity, quality, and safety while fostering a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• Proven background in production supervision within a manufacturing environment

• Bachelor’s degree required

• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to lead and manage diverse teams

• Data-driven mindset with strong problem-solving abilities

• Experience in the printing or packaging industry is a significant plus

Position Overview:

• Supervise and manage all activities for the Finishing/Gluing team during the 3rd shift

• Oversee daily shift operations with a focus on safety, product quality, material waste, and labor efficiency

• Participate in strategic planning, budgeting, capital investment, and organizational development

• Lead and support a team of approximately 30 direct reports

Primary Responsibilities:

• Full operational responsibility for the department during the 3rd shift

• Direct and lead team members to consistently meet production and performance objectives

• Monitor and control shift operating costs

• Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable laws

• Lead and implement safety initiatives and ensure compliance with safety standards

• Maintain and enforce quality standards across all production processes

• Promote a culture of innovation, teamwork, and continuous improvement

• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, customers, and suppliers

• Foster a culture of openness, accountability, and integrity through effective communication and employee engagement

Equipment Exposure:

• 8-color flexographic wide-web printing press

• 7.5-ton overhead crane

• Core baler

• Safety knife

• Basic hand tools

Shift Information:

• 3rd Shift: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM
