Tax Consultant (Public Accounting)

Westlake OH – Hybrid

We are seeking a skilled Tax Consultant to join our innovative public accounting firm dedicated to providing expert financial and tax services to our diverse range of clients. Primary Responsibilities:

· Create and review tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and trusts.

· Conduct tax research to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

· Assist in tax planning and consulting services to optimize clients’ financial outcomes.

· Perform research on tax regulations and provide strategic planning advice to clients.

· Handle IRS and state agency inquiries and audits on behalf of clients.

· Maintain accurate records and ensure timely submission of tax-related documents.

· Stay updated on changes in tax laws and propose strategies to clients and the firm.

· Collaborate with team members on client engagements to deliver exceptional service.

Requirements:

· Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or EA certification preferred.

· A minimum of 5 years of experience in tax preparation and public accounting.

· In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations.

· Experience working with QuickBooks is advantageous!

· Proficiency in tax preparation software (e.g., Ultra-Tax, ProSeries, Lacerte, or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite.

· Exceptional analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with clients and team members.

· Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
