Accounting and Finance Manager

Accounting and Finance Manager (GAAP)

The Accounting and Finance Manager will support the Controller in overseeing and planning the company’s financial operations. This role plays a key part in producing accurate financial statements, supporting tax return and audit processes with external accounting firms, and developing financial models to guide strategic decisions. The ideal candidate is comfortable operating in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial start-up environment.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required

  • Master’s degree preferred

  • CPA designation is a plus

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, finance, and budgeting

  • Strong working knowledge across AP, AR, audit, tax, general ledger, and financial reporting, including experience with GAAP and multi-entity/multi-state operations

  • Experience with QuickBooks, Concur, and/or Carta is a plus

  • Prior industry-specific experience is a plus

  • Proficient in budgeting and financial projection


Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee core accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, and treasury

  • Manage the accounting system and general ledger, ensuring accuracy and timely month-end closings

  • Support financial planning through budgeting, cash forecasting, cost accounting, and inventory analysis

  • Develop and maintain internal financial controls, accounting policies, and processes for operational efficiency and accuracy

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations and standards

  • Collaborate with external accounting partners to prepare annual reports, tax filings, and audit documentation

  • Perform additional related tasks and projects as assigned
