Acute Peritoneal Dialysis RN
We are currently looking for an experienced and committed individual to join our team as an Acute PD Registered Nurse. In this position, you will be responsible for the management and provision of acute peritoneal dialysis services to patients at our healthcare facility located in Freeport, IL. As an Acute PD Registered Nurse, your role will be crucial in ensuring the well-being and care of our patients by collaborating with a diverse team of healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities
- Carrying out acute peritoneal dialysis procedures for patients based on established protocols and guidelines.
- Monitoring patient response to peritoneal dialysis treatment and making necessary adjustments to treatment plans as needed.
- Working closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement personalized care plans for patients undergoing acute peritoneal dialysis.
- Providing education to patients and their families about the purpose, process, and potential complications of acute peritoneal dialysis.
- Monitoring and evaluating patient outcomes, documenting any changes or concerns and reporting them to the healthcare team.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records, documenting all procedures, medications, and interventions related to acute peritoneal dialysis.
- Ensuring compliance with infection control measures and maintaining a safe and clean working environment.
Qualifications
- A valid state license as a Registered Nurse
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification is required
- At least 1 year of nursing experience, with a preference for candidates who have experience in hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis
- A minimum of 6 months of general dialysis experience
