Farm Development Manager

Location: Waukesha, WI

We are seeking an experienced engineer to join our team as a Senior Project Manager for our Agriculture Team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for delivering top-notch design, planning, permitting, and consulting services to the farming communities in our region. You will directly oversee large-scale improvements in agriculture and farmstead, renewable natural gas (RNG), and technology. By collaborating with various agricultural clients, you will coordinate and manage these projects. Our ambitious growth plans offer opportunities for collaboration with the Sector Leader in shaping the strategy and expansion of our agriculture and RNG markets. This position is flexible and can be based out of any of our offices, home, or hybrid.

GOALS & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage projects and collaborate with clients on waste transfer, storage and processing systems, specialized storm water systems, water quality, building expansion, and permitting projects
  • Work collaboratively with professionals, contractors, jurisdictions, and regulatory agencies to complete project work
  • Facilitate project permitting through WDNR, ACOE, and local government agencies
  • Establish positive and productive relationships with clients
  • Support the Agriculture Team in maintaining existing clients and generating potential leads
  • Pursue cross-functional opportunities with other market teams for interested candidates

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • Bachelor's Degree (or higher) in Civil, Environmental, or Biological Systems Engineering
  • Professional Engineer (PE) registration in Wisconsin
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience (6+ years preferred)
  • Additional agricultural experience is a plus
  • Project management, client interaction, marketing, business development, proposal development, and contract negotiation experience
  • Basic knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Experience with HydroCAD or equivalent storm water modeling software
  • Team-oriented with strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Advanced problem-solving abilities and deadline-oriented mindset
  • Willingness to have fun in the process
