Air Quality Specialist

Air Quality Analyst Position:

As an Air Quality Analyst, you will play a crucial role in the organization's mission to deliver clean and affordable energy.

Responsibilities for this position will include overseeing air permitting, compliance, and reporting tasks for oil and gas facilities, as well as leading the development of an emissions reduction program.

You will stay informed about current and upcoming state and federal environmental regulations that are relevant to onshore oil and gas extraction.

Additionally, you will be responsible for managing emissions inventories and performing annual reporting of greenhouse gases. You will supervise air compliance initiatives, such as LDAR, engine testing, and preventative maintenance.

Your contributions will extend to the development and implementation of corrective action plans, as well as the administration of all aspects of oil and gas facility permitting.

To ensure timely progress in permitting and compliance communications, you will engage with government bodies on behalf of the organization. You will also foster positive relationships with Operations and Engineering teams.

Effective prioritization of multiple projects across different regions will be key, ensuring that resources are allocated appropriately to meet project and compliance deadlines.

You will also take a proactive approach to assess and communicate potential air quality impacts resulting from developmental and operational adjustments.

Air Quality Analyst Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree is required.
  • Preference given to applicants with a degree in Engineering.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in environmental air permitting and compliance directly related to Oil and Gas upstream operations.
  • Demonstrated organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to interact and communicate effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong problem analysis and technical translation skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and adapt quickly to changing priorities.
  • Proficient in understanding, interpreting, and consistently applying environmental regulations.
  • Strong proficiency in mathematics, science, and computer literacy.
  • High attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to meet deadlines independently.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
