Antitrust and Competition Senior Associate/Counsel (HSR Specialist)

Our client, a prominent AmLaw 50 global law firm, is in search of a highly skilled Antitrust and Competition Senior Associate Attorney or Counsel specializing in HSR to join their renowned practice. Renowned for their guidance on high-profile antitrust matters, this team represents clients across various industries in advising, compliance, and enforcement actions. With accomplished attorneys who have held influential positions at federal and state antitrust agencies, as well as within the European Commission and other international enforcement bodies, this practice is well-regarded as part of the “Global Elite” by Global Competition Review and other leading industry publications.

Preferred Candidate Profile:

• Graduate of a distinguished law school with an exceptional academic record.
• Active membership in the New York State Bar.
• At least 5 years of extensive experience in antitrust law, particularly with regards to Hart-Scott-Rodino Act filing requirements, counseling, and compliance.
• Thorough understanding of U.S. antitrust enforcement policies and procedures; familiarity with international antitrust frameworks is advantageous.
• Excellent analytical, writing, and communication abilities.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Guide clients on compliance with Hart-Scott-Rodino Act filing requirements, ensuring adherence to pre-merger notification rules and procedures.
• Offer strategic counseling on matters concerning antitrust and competition law, including merger reviews, investigations, and regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with a globally dispersed team of attorneys on cross-border antitrust issues, making use of the firm’s extensive resources and international expertise.
• Represent clients in investigations and proceedings conducted by federal and state antitrust enforcement authorities.
• Stay updated on developments in antitrust law and provide forward-thinking advice to clients on emerging concerns.
