Our client is seeking a talented Application Engineer - Analytical Chemistry for an exciting new opportunity. In this role, you will be responsible for providing support in sales, feasibility studies, and addressing customer inquiries regarding microwave-assisted synthesis, Raman spectroscopy, and FTIR product lines. Reporting to the Business Unit Sales Manager, this position is located in Richmond, VA. The salary range for this position is $66,000 to $71,000 and includes full benefits, profit sharing bonuses, as well as a $10,000 anniversary bonus every five years.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting and evaluating feasibility studies, and presenting sample measurements.
• Performing installations, training, and providing technical support.
• Troubleshooting issues and interpreting data.
• Representing the company at conferences and trade shows.

Qualifications and skills required:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in sample digestion, spectroscopy, or related methods.
• Excellent written, oral, and presentation skills for effective communication with clients ranging from scientists to university professors and CEOs.
• Ability to work independently with a strong focus on customer satisfaction.
• Bachelor's degree in chemistry or engineering.
• Willingness to travel overnight up to 50% of the time.
• Possession of a valid driver's license and passport.
