Our client is seeking a Particle Characterization Specialist for an Application Engineer position in Chicago, IL. This role involves providing support for sales of particle sizing, zeta potential, surface, and porosity instruments, as well as after-sales support to existing customers. The salary range for this position is between $70,000 and $76,000. We offer full benefits, profit sharing bonuses, and a $10,000 anniversary bonus every five years.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct and evaluate feasibility studies through sample measurements.
• Handle installations, training, and provide technical support.
• Interpret data and troubleshoot issues.
• Participate in conferences and trade shows.

Requirements:

• At least 2 years of experience in particle size and imaging, pore size, BET surface area, or related methods.
• Excellent written, oral, and presentation communication skills for interacting with various clients, from Quality Control Technicians to University Professors and CEOs.
• Ability to work independently with a strong commitment to customer satisfaction.
• Bachelor's degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, or materials science.
• Availability for up to 50% overnight travel.
• Valid driver's license and passport.
