Applications Manager, Oracle Fusion Cloud HCM

We are currently seeking applicants for the position of Senior IT Applications Manager, specializing in HCM (Oracle). This is an exciting opportunity to join a multi-billion dollar industry leader based in Birmingham, AL!

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

As the Senior IT Applications Manager, HCM (Oracle), your main responsibility will be overseeing and managing all HCM systems and services, utilizing a range of applications (both SAAS and On-Premise), including governance and compliance. You will play a critical role in developing and executing the company's HCM product roadmap, as well as collaborating with cross-functional teams to establish efficient and accurate best practice processes for all HCM system functions.

A DAY IN THE LIFE

  • Lead programs and projects as part of the HCM digital transformation effort, migrating from on-premises to Oracle Fusion Cloud HCM.
  • Collaborate with business and technology groups to deliver and maintain enterprise HCM solutions.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on HCM-related products and technologies, providing guidance and support to internal stakeholders and customers.
  • Ensure compliance and data governance practices are upheld.
  • Take ownership of system configurations, integrations, workflows, reporting, and analytics within the HCM area.
  • Manage the full lifecycle of functional programs and projects, including ideation, design, development, testing, launch, and continuous improvement.
  • Work closely with development, integration, and testing teams to deliver high-quality solutions in a timely manner.
  • Evaluate quarterly patches, analyze new or changed functionality, develop test plans, and coordinate testing activities with business users.
  • Participate in M&A activities and assess their impact on current business processes, integrations, and reports.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional business groups to lead and execute integration plans.

IDEAL CANDIDATE

  • At least 8 years of experience and expert-level skills in managing Oracle HCM applications, with a focus on transformations to Oracle Fusion Cloud HCM.
  • Proven track record of leading full-cycle HCM digital transformations from on-premises to the Cloud.
  • Strong experience in implementing, utilizing, and supporting Cloud/ERP solutions, particularly Oracle HCM.
  • In-depth knowledge of business processes and proficiency in applications management methodologies, tools, and best practices.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams.
  • Customer-centric mindset and a focus on delivering a positive user experience.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and adaptable to change.
  • Stable work history with a commitment to long-term employment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field.
  • Local candidates preferred, but relocation assistance can be provided within the USA.
