Area Business Director – Lasers – Capital Equipment

Territory: TN/AR/MS - preferred candidate location - Nashville

$90k base salary + estimated $550k+ commissions (uncapped)

$625/month car allowance and expenses covered

Selling aesthetic lasers (capital equipment) to Med Spas, Dermatologists, and Plastic Surgeons

We are seeking a motivated individual who excels in sales and has experience mentoring and coaching sales representatives to achieve high sales records. The ideal candidate should have a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas in their assigned territory. They should possess outstanding cold calling skills to generate leads and have the ability to guide customers through the sales cycle, effectively closing emotional sales opportunities. Additionally, the candidate should thrive in a fast-paced environment, possess a resilient and determined attitude, and be skilled in handling customer objections and turning them into successful sales. The selected candidate will be responsible for product demos, cross-selling, and utilizing resources to achieve both short-term and long-term sales goals. They will also be expected to build and maintain relationships with key healthcare providers and represent our company at industry events. This position offers a seven-figure quota and provides ongoing mentorship and support to Territory Sales Managers and Area Sales Managers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Meet or exceed sales quotas in the assigned territory
  • Mentor and coach local and North American sales representatives to achieve high sales records
  • Consistently recruit top talent in the assigned territory and company-wide
  • Generate leads through effective cold calling and provide comprehensive answers to customer inquiries
  • Represent our company at industry conventions and events
  • Guide customers through the sales cycle and leverage emotional sales opportunities
  • Thrive in a fast-paced work environment, managing multiple processes simultaneously
  • Have a resilient and determined attitude to handle rejection and secure sales
  • Effectively address customer objections and convert them into successful sales
  • Perform product demos to showcase our lasers
  • Utilize available resources to achieve short-term and long-term sales objectives
  • Cross-sell products and collaborate with sales representatives within and outside the assigned territory
  • Ensure customer satisfaction and fulfill financial requirements in line with company standards
  • Provide timely reports on lead status and sales opportunities through the CRM database
  • Build and maintain relationships with key healthcare providers in various specialties
  • Assist Territory Sales Managers in closing deals and provide ongoing mentorship and support

Requirements:

  • High school diploma, bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent experience
  • 2 years of sales experience, preferably in medical or capital sales
  • Experience in medical devices, capital equipment, surgical devices, or laser sales is a plus
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and Salesforce
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas

Additional Information:

  • This position does not involve direct reports but requires assisting in mentoring team members
  • Work environment: remote with occasional visits to doctors' offices and spas
  • Physical demands: ability to lift up to 10 pounds frequently and up to 80 pounds occasionally
  • Travel: 60% travel required
  • Valid documentation for work authorization in the United States is mandatory
  • Other duties may be assigned as needed
