Area Sales Manager – Lasers – Capital Equipment

Territory: The candidate can live in either Pennsylvania or New Jersey.

The annual salary for this position is $75,000 with potential earnings of over $350,000 through commissions. The selected candidate will also receive a monthly car allowance of $625, coverage for gas and other expenses, as well as full benefits.

This role entails selling aesthetic lasers which are capital equipment, to Med Spas, Dermatologists, and Plastic Surgeons.

We are seeking an individual who is skilled at hunting down opportunities, closing deals, and has the ability to achieve a seven-figure sales quota. The Regional Sales Supervisor will also be responsible for mentoring and supporting Territory Managers.

The position requires an ability to travel up to 60% of the time.

Area Sales Manager

Summary

The Area Sales Manager is responsible for driving revenue and implementing our sales strategies in a specific geographical area. Key responsibilities include presenting our products to potential clients, identifying consumer characteristics, and providing recommendations for product promotion and sales. Ultimately, this role will contribute to expanding our customer base and establishing a strong presence in the assigned region.

  • Generate leads through cold calling in person and over the phone
  • Address customer inquiries regarding product features, pricing, and additional services
  • Represent the company at conventions and events

  • Upsell additional products
  • Collaborate with sales representatives within and beyond the assigned territory to share best practices and support a unified sales approach that meets individual and group quotas
  • Fulfill all customer care and finance requirements established by the company
  • Provide timely reports (weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annually) to the Regional Sales Director, detailing the status of leads and sales opportunities in the pipeline, through the CRM database (Salesforce)
  • Establish and maintain relationships with dermatologists and plastic surgeons, including those affiliated with professional organizations such as ASPS, Facial Plastic, Ophthalmic, Plastic and AACS cosmetic surgeons, Urologists, OB/GYN, and private Practice Physicians
  • Assist Territory Sales Managers in closing deals
  • Mentor and offer support to Territory Sales Managers
  • Be accountable for achieving a seven-figure sales quota

Education and Experience Required

  • High school diploma required, Bachelor's degree preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum of 4 years of sales experience, preferably in the medical or capital sales field
  • Prior experience in selling medical devices, capital equipment, surgical devices, or lasers is advantageous

Supervisory Responsibility

This role does not have any direct reports, but the Regional Sales Supervisor will assist in mentoring Territory Sales Managers.

Work Environment

This job operates remotely as well as in doctor's offices and spas. Standard office equipment such as tables, computers, and cell phones will be used.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 80 pounds.

Travel

This position requires up to 60% travel as needed.
