Area Sales Metro NY/NJ – Food
Sales Representative - New York, NY Region
We are a leading manufacturer and distributor of food ingredients and components.
Key Responsibilities:
Drive business growth by targeting and acquiring new clients in the food service, specialty stores, and independent accounts throughout the Metro area.
Collaborate with the Director of Sales to develop and execute strategic plans, presentations, and promotional activities.
Work closely with Regional Brokers to define sales objectives and priorities per account, ensuring revenue growth.
Qualifications:
3-5 years of successful sales experience in the food industry, specifically targeting food service, specialty, and independent accounts.
Solid understanding of the sales process and dynamics.
Self-motivated individual with a hunter and entrepreneurial mindset.
Experience in working with brokers and distributors.
Proficient in using Excel and a customer relationship management (CRM) software.
Commitment to delivering excellent customer service.
Highly motivated to seize business opportunities and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to quickly build rapport with customers. Travel Required: Approximately 50%+ within the region.
Compensation:
Competitive salary of $75-100K, plus a quarterly bonus based on key performance indicators (sales volume, customer acquisition, sales turnover, CRM use).
