We are currently seeking a Construction Superintendent to oversee and manage the activities of our paving crews in Sun City, FL. You will be responsible for coordinating the work of workers who spread, roll, tamp, and patch asphalt or similar materials to create surfaces for highways, streets, parking lots, aircraft landing strips, driveways, and more.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Reviewing and understanding plans and specifications provided by the owner
• Ensuring compliance with contract specifications
• Calculating accurate material quantities needed based on project plans
• Preparing detailed resource requirements based on quantity take-offs
• Coordinating subcontractors and monitoring their progress
• Submitting necessary paperwork to owners or general contractors, such as schedules, materials sources, claims, and invoices
• Verifying subcontractor payments
• Collecting accounts receivable
• Analyzing estimates versus actual costs from job cost system

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience in Heavy Highway/Road Construction or a related field
• Certification in Asphalt Paving Level 1 & 2
• Preferred certification as a Traffic Control Supervisor
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including days, nights, and weekends
• Efficient completion of required paperwork
• Valid Florida driver's license and ability to meet company MVR requirements
