- We are seeking a dedicated individual who can serve as the Deputy Director of Nursing for our long-term care facility in Geneva, NY. In this role, you will lead the overall operations of the Nursing Home, overseeing policy and procedure development, implementation, and maintenance. It will be your responsibility to ensure that all staff are adhering to federal and state regulations, as well as the facility's own policies and procedures. Regular audits and investigations may also be required as part of your role. Additionally, you will be responsible for overseeing the operations of two nursing homes in the absence of the Director of Nursing.
- We are looking for someone with strong leadership skills, a proven track record of success, and a comprehensive understanding of general operations, human resources, budgeting, reimbursement, NYS DOH compliance, quality, and safety.
- In order to fill in as a clinical leader when needed, the candidate must be clinically competent in resident care.
- The Assistant Director of Nursing will report directly to the Administrative Director of Nursing for our Long Term Care Division.

- The ideal candidate will have previous positive leadership experience in a managerial or assistant director role.

- Exceptional interpersonal and organizational skills are a must, along with a commitment to providing an exceptional experience for our residents and families.
- The candidate should have the ability to mentor and develop others.
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills are required.
- REQUIREMENTS:
- EDUCATION:
- Minimum: The candidate must be a graduate of an accredited school or a Registered Professional Nurse with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree, or be willing to actively pursue it.
Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree. - Licensure:
- A current New York State Registered Professional Nursing License is required.
- EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum:
- The candidate must have four years of managerial experience and two years of nursing experience, and demonstrate leadership abilities in the Long Term Care setting.
- They should also have knowledge and application of New York State Department of Health regulations and survey process, along with successful experience. Clinical competency is a must.
- Preferred:
Prior experience at the Assistant Director level. - ADDITIONAL:
- Minimum:
- A proven ability to develop positive relationships with others (staff, medical staff, other department managers, and the public) in a resident/family-centered environment is required.
- Demonstrated ability to work with residents and staff in a variety of stressful and adverse scenarios.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- High level of multitasking ability.
- Computer literacy is required, including proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, and PowerPoint.
- Preferred:
- Knowledge/experience with PRI and MDS; Familiarity with Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
