Are you a detail-oriented construction professional ready to step into a leadership role on a high-impact project? We’re seeking an Assistant Superintendent to support daily field operations and help ensure quality, safety, and schedule adherence on a full-cycle commercial project based in Oakland, CA.

You'll play a key role in coordinating subcontractors, managing site logistics, and maintaining real-time jobsite documentation—all while supporting the Superintendent and Project Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with Master Schedule input, daily updates, and 6-week look-ahead planning

• Help lead Foreman meetings and subcontractor coordination when Superintendent is unavailable

• Conduct daily safety inspections, issue corrections, and verify safe work practices

• Support QA/QC reviews, including constructability input on RFIs and ASIs

• Monitor and verify subcontractor measurements and as-built documentation

• Coordinate with inspectors, consultants, and jurisdictional agencies for compliance

• Oversee day-to-day jobsite logistics, including equipment, deliveries, and general site needs

• Track subcontractor compliance with local hire requirements

• Collaborate closely with the Superintendent and Project Manager on all site operations

Must-Have Qualifications:

• Proven field experience on commercial construction projects (multi-unit housing a plus)

• Strong understanding of jobsite safety, equipment usage, and regulatory compliance

• Ability to lead meetings and coordinate with multiple subcontractors and vendors

• Hands-on experience with site logistics, temporary utilities, and material coordination

• Excellent communication and organizational skills

• Willingness to be on-site full-time for the full duration of the project in Oakland, CA
