Associate Attorney - Business & Commercial Litigation, Healthcare & Regulatory Compliance

Please note: This position requires attorneys to split their time between the Baltimore, MD office and remote work.

We are partnering with a thriving law firm located in downtown Baltimore. This firm boasts a department dedicated to business and commercial litigation, handling a wide range of legal matters. They specialize in complex commercial litigation, healthcare law, and regulatory compliance. Additionally, they provide representation to hospitals and physician practice groups, while also offering support in lobbying and legislative affairs.

Job Description:

• Take on complex commercial and business litigation cases, which may include:
• Disputes related to construction
• Legal matters involving asbestos
• Shareholder and joint venture disputes
• Contract breaches
• Insurance coverage disputes
• Business torts
• Board of contract appeals
• Represent hospitals and physician practice groups in healthcare law matters, including assistance with licensing, disciplinary boards, and credentialing.
• Provide support in lobbying and regulatory compliance efforts, conducting research, discovery, and legislative work before the Maryland General Assembly.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 2 years of litigation experience, either as plaintiff or defense counsel.
• Excellent research and writing skills.
• Knowledge of healthcare law and regulations is considered advantageous.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and work independently.
• Superb communication and interpersonal skills.
