OPENING FOR COMMERCIAL LITIGATION ASSOCIATE ATTORNEY

Location: Hermosa Beach, CA

We are currently seeking a highly-motivated Associate Attorney specializing in Commercial Litigation to join our prestigious law firm located in Hermosa Beach. This is an exceptional opportunity to handle a wide range of high-stakes business and commercial litigation cases, such as professional liability, securities litigation/arbitration, and directors & officers defense.

Desired Candidate Profile:

• Hold a JD degree from a top-tier law school with an outstanding academic record.

• Active membership in the California Bar Association.

• Have between 1 to 4 years of substantive experience in various areas of litigation, including business/commercial litigation, professional liability, securities litigation/arbitration, and/or directors & officers defense.

• Possess excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills.

• Demonstrate expertise in drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery documents.

• Able to take and defend depositions.

• Preferably knowledgeable in both state and federal courts.

• Effective communicator and able to collaborate efficiently with clients and colleagues.

• Willingness to travel locally for court appearances, mediations, arbitrations, site inspections, and depositions.

Main Responsibilities:

• Independently manage complex commercial litigation cases, overseeing them from inception to resolution.

• Conduct comprehensive legal research and prepare pleadings, motions, and other pertinent litigation documents.

• Confidently take and defend depositions, efficiently handle discovery requests, and assist in trial preparation.

• Represent clients in both state and federal courts, as well as arbitrations and mediations.

• Collaborate closely with senior attorneys to devise case strategies and efficiently manage litigation proceedings.
