• This position requires attending 5-10 court appearances per month in Northeastern New York, with a flexible work-from-home option when not in court. Relocation assistance is available if necessary.

We are seeking a Junior Lawyer to join our progressive Family Law practice located in the beautiful Northern New York. Our firm is known for its innovative approach to Family Law, with a focus on improving outcomes for parents and children by moving away from traditional legal battles and promoting conflict reduction, stress reduction, and cost reduction. With over 30 years of experience, we emphasize work-life balance and provide a setting in the breathtaking Adirondack Park, offering an outdoor lifestyle with easy access to Montreal's vibrant culture.

Responsibilities:

• Provide legal representation to clients in family law matters, including mediation, meetings, and court appearances.
• Create effective legal strategies and offer expert legal representation.
• Contribute to a collaborative environment dedicated to achieving positive outcomes for families.
• Manage cases primarily in Clinton, Essex, Franklin, and Warren Counties.
• Work closely with the firm's owner and team to meet client needs.

• Hold a Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Must be admitted to the New York State Bar.
• Possess a minimum of 1 year of litigation experience in a courtroom (Family Law experience is not required).
• Demonstrate strong research, writing, and communication skills.
• Ability to handle multiple cases and work independently.
• Familiarity with legal technology, including Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat Pro, and Westlaw.
