Associate Attorney – Public Finance & Redevelopment

Job Description
Our client is in search of an accomplished Associate Attorney who can proficiently handle a diverse range of legal matters related to public finance and urban redevelopment. This position involves a combination of transactional work, client advisory, and active engagement with municipal activities. The key responsibilities include:
- Providing legal advice on urban redevelopment and development projects, including contract negotiations, project financing, and land use issues.
- Handling legal aspects pertaining to affordable housing, municipal governance, and structured financing.
- Assisting in the sale and issuance of municipal securities to fund capital projects.
- Representing state and local government entities, investment banks, and trustee banks.
- Participating in client meetings, occasionally scheduled in the evenings.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as an associate attorney.
- At least 3 years of specialization in urban redevelopment and public finance.
- Admission to practice law in New Jersey and extensive knowledge of NJ law.
- Thorough understanding of land use, municipal governance, tax incentives, and structured financing.
- Exceptional skills in legal drafting, analysis, and negotiation.
- Ability to effectively handle multiple projects and collaborate with clients.
