Our organization supports individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) of various ages in achieving their full potential and leading fulfilling lives through our Group Homes/Intermediate Care Facilities. We cater to the lifelong needs of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

The ideal candidate should have experience in the IT/Technology field (although we offer training). They should be capable of overseeing and training staff, as well as participating in meetings.

Primary Responsibilities:

· The Assistant Manager (AM) provides support and works closely with the Manager to oversee technology operations and ensure smooth functioning. The Manager is responsible for managing operations, employee relations, staffing, fiscal management, and compliance with regulations.

· The AM will act as the interim Manager in the Manager's absence due to time off or operational reasons.

· The AM will assist the Manager in providing leadership to the staff and ensuring compliance with care standards to deliver the highest quality client care at all times.

· The AM will provide support in various operational functions for the Manager and each department as necessary, including being on-call for staffing needs.

· The AM will contribute to, oversee, and assist with special projects as deemed appropriate by the Manager or Matrix leadership.

· The AM will assist in the professional development and onboarding of key management positions.

· The AM will work as a team member and leader to ensure work is completed and quality care is provided, supporting staff and leading the way in celebrating team achievements. The incumbent is expected to actively participate in Staff Meetings, Parent Meetings, and employee engagement initiatives.

· The AM will observe and work under the supervision of the Manager in the following aspects:

o Administration and operation of the company with written authorization.

o Provision of high-quality client services in line with the company's mission, vision, and values, ensuring well-trained personnel and implementation of company policies and procedures.

o Participation in the preparation, compliance, and monitoring of an approved budget.

o Rotation across various departments to assist and gain knowledge of each area's operations, enhancing management capabilities.

· The AM will receive mentorship and guidance from an experienced Manager who will support their professional growth.


Education & Experience:

  • Preferred: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • Desirable: Previous experience working with disabled adults.
  • Preferred, but not required: Experience with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
  • Consideration given to candidates with experience in nursing homes, rehabilitation centers, home health services, or chronic/geriatric care.
