This role has the key responsibility of establishing and maintaining strong relationships with managers, supervisors, and hourly production associates in the processing plant. The main objective is to promote a cooperative and progressive work environment. Key responsibilities include:
- Resolving workplace conflicts effectively and providing coaching to supervisors on strategies to improve absenteeism, turnover, and plant efficiencies.
- Ensuring new hires receive a comprehensive and informative orientation using approved company materials. Continuously improving orientation processes.
- Providing coaching and counseling to supervisors to enhance their ability to manage their workforce efficiently.
- Assisting hourly and salaried personnel in conflict resolution and ensuring consistent policy application. Conducting training sessions for supervisors on policies and procedures.
- Managing the Peer Review / Management Review process.
- Identifying, designing, training, implementing, and auditing new methods to reduce turnover.
Requirements:
A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Labor Relations or a related field is required, along with 3-5 years of experience. The ideal candidate should also have:
- Demonstrated success in writing, updating, and auditing Affirmative Action Plans.
- A thorough understanding of I-9 requirements.
- Experience with ADA, EEOC, DOL, OFCCP regulations, and current laws.
- Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the food industry. Proven problem-solving skills with automated timekeeping systems, such as Kronos.
- Prior experience in conducting new hire orientations.
- A strong commitment to team performance, effective coaching, and excellent teamwork skills.
