Overview of the Position:

  • Provide contracted support to local high school, college, and semi-pro teams.
  • Oversee the healthcare needs of athletes in high schools, colleges, and semi-pro teams.
  • Offer first aid and emergency care during sporting events.
  • Conduct on-site assessments of injuries and administer appropriate treatment approaches.
  • Create and implement strategies for injury prevention.
  • Supervise and execute rehabilitation programs for injured athletes.
  • Refer athletes to medical services as required.
  • Ensure adherence to current contracts regarding athletic training services.
  • Report to the Rehabilitation Services System Director and Orthopedic Service Line Director.

  • Contribute to the health and well-being of athletes in diverse and vibrant communities.

Qualifications:

  • Education: The minimum requirement is a bachelor's degree in a health-related field.
  • Current certification from the Board of Certification for Athletic Trainers.
  • Experience: Preferably, one to two years of athletic training experience in a sports environment.
  • CPR Certification: CPR certification is mandatory within 90 days of being hired.
