Our client is a leading law firm specializing in real estate development, public finance, and administrative law in the dynamic city of Austin, Texas. They are currently seeking a highly motivated attorney to join their team as an Administrative Law Attorney. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on a diverse range of legal matters, including legislative affairs, regulatory compliance, special district creation, public finance, and government relations.

Responsibilities:

• Provide legal counsel and support in areas such as real estate development, legislative affairs, regulatory compliance, special district creation, public finance, and government relations
• Handle contested cases at TCEQ (Texas Commission on Environmental Quality), PUCT (Public Utility Commission of Texas), and SOAH (State Office of Administrative Hearings) as well as related litigation
• Utilize working knowledge of both the Administrative Procedures Act and TRCP/TRAP (Texas Rules of Civil Procedure and Texas Rules of Appellate Procedure)
• Assume an active role in projects and client relationships, demonstrating the ability to make an immediate impact

Requirements:

• Hold a J.D. from an ABA accredited law school
• Be a licensed attorney admitted to the Texas Bar and in good standing
• Possess a minimum of 2 years of substantive legal experience in real estate development, legislative affairs, regulatory compliance, special district creation, public finance, government relations
• Demonstrate experience in contested cases and related litigation at regulatory commissions and administrative hearings
• Have a strong working knowledge of the Administrative Procedures Act and TRCP/TRAP
• Show excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively
