Attorney – Defense Litigation
We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Defense Litigation Lawyer to join our client's esteemed law firm in San Antonio, TX. With a focus on products liability, personal injury, construction litigation, insurance defense, and medical malpractice, our client's firm provides an ideal environment for lawyers to refine their litigation and courtroom skills.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work closely with partners and senior attorneys to handle a diverse caseload encompassing defense construction and civil litigation matters. This position presents an excellent chance for an ambitious attorney to gain invaluable real-world experience and make a significant impact within the firm, with potential partnership opportunities available.
Responsibilities:
- Conducting thorough legal research and analysis on a wide range of issues.
- Preparing legal documents, such as pleadings, motions, and briefs.
- Representing clients in court proceedings, including hearings and trials.
- Collaborating with senior attorneys to develop effective case strategies and tactics.
- Communicating proficiently with clients, opposing counsel, and other stakeholders.
- Attending relevant networking events.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the State Bar of Texas.
- 2-5 years of experience practicing law.
- Exceptional analytical, research, and writing skills.
- Outstanding oral advocacy and courtroom presentation abilities.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Licensure in Texas.
- Proficiency in conducting and defending depositions.
