Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with partners and senior associates in developing and implementing litigation strategies for serious personal injury defense lawsuits and complex commercial litigation matters.
• Conduct legal research and draft memoranda and briefs on various legal issues.
• Assist with all stages of litigation, including drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery requests and responses.
• Review documents and oversee their production.
• Prepare for depositions, hearings, and trials, and actively participate in these proceedings as needed.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school with excellent credentials (top 25% of class preferred).
• Admitted to practice law in the State of Texas and in good standing.
• Minimum of 2 years of defense litigation experience, including deposition and courtroom experience.
• Demonstrated desire to try lawsuits and ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
• Excellent legal research and writing skills.
• Preference given to candidates with clerkship experience.
