Senior Audit Accountant (Big 4 or Regional CPA firm)

Our company is searching for a highly dedicated professional to fill the role of Senior Audit Accountant in Akron, OH. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for contributing to audit, review, and compilation engagements. This multifaceted position involves a variety of tasks and responsibilities:

• You will actively participate in audit projects, from the planning stages to issuance.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and their accompanying notes.
• Conduct rigorous self-review of workpapers before submitting them to your direct supervisor.
• Develop audit programs, time budgets, and planning documentation.
• Provide mentoring and on-the-job training for staff members.
• Collaborate on special projects as needed.
• Offer timely feedback for performance evaluations of staff accountants.
• Participate in select administrative committees and functions.
• Take the initiative to seek out additional projects.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Prior experience with a Big 4 or Regional CPA firm would be highly valuable.
• A minimum of 2-3 years of relevant experience in a similar role is required.
• You must have an impressive academic and professional track record.
• A bachelor's degree in Accounting is mandatory, and eligibility to sit for the CPA Exam is required (CPA Licensure is highly desirable but not mandatory).
• You must possess proficiency in goal management through collaboration and teamwork.
• Exceptional interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills are a must.
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required, including the ability to create formulas (V-lookups a plus).
• You should have a strong aptitude for mathematics and computation.
• Demonstrate proficiency in applying robust problem-solving techniques.
• A highly positive attitude, exceptional client service skills, and an insatiable desire for continuous learning and personal growth are required traits.
