Auditor

Junior to Mid Level Auditor (CPA Firm)

Let’s be real—public accounting doesn’t always have the best reputation. A quick Google search will show you the usual gripes: long hours, high stress, and burnout.

But there’s another side to the story—especially early in your career. Public accounting offers some real advantages:

  • Exposure to a wide range of industries and businesses

  • The chance to build a strong professional network

  • Insights into how different organizations tackle similar challenges

  • Opportunities to work directly with business owners and C-level leaders

  • A great foundation for consultative and advisory skills

What if you could get all of those benefits—without the burnout?

This might be that rare opportunity.

THE OPPORTUNITY

Our client is a growing CPA firm based in Central Ohio that serves small to mid-sized businesses and nonprofits. As they continue to expand, they’re looking to add a Junior to Mid-Level Auditor to their team.

In this role, you’ll handle traditional audit responsibilities—reviewing financial records, ensuring accurate tax payments, maintaining compliance, and working closely with clients. But you’ll also go beyond the basics, helping clients improve their financial reporting, internal processes, and overall operations.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE

  • 1+ year of professional accounting experience, with a foundation in auditing

  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills—you’ll be client-facing often

  • A curious mindset and the ability to dig into financials when something seems off

  • Proficiency with tools like QuickBooks and Excel

  • A desire to keep growing professionally and eventually earn your CPA

WHY THIS ROLE STANDS OUT

Let’s be honest—there are a lot of auditor roles out there. So we asked people at the firm what makes this one different. Here’s what they said:

“There’s no politics here. People are upfront, honest, and supportive.”

“The Managing Partner sits just down the hall. His door’s always open.”

“It’s a family-first culture. If I need to take my kid to the doctor, I can adjust my hours. No guilt.”

“I never pictured myself at a small firm—but I love it. The energy and the people are amazing.”

“We’re active in the community too—charity events, nonprofit initiatives, and more.”
