Business Litigation Associate Attorney

Location: Austin, TX

Our client, a prestigious law firm ranked within the AmLaw 200, is currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Associate Attorney to join their distinguished Business Litigation Practice Group in the vibrant city of Austin. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the firm's Litigation and Dispute Resolution Department, focusing on intricate and diverse business litigation and arbitration cases across various industries.

Requirements:

• Graduated from a top-tier law school with a strong academic background (JD).
• Admitted to practice law in Texas (Active Bar Admission).
• 4-6 years of substantial experience in complex business litigation, encompassing disputes involving partnerships, shareholders, trade secrets misappropriation, trademark infringements, non-competition and non-solicitation agreements breaches, and commercial contracts.
• Demonstrated expertise in handling real estate litigation, including developer disputes, defense of brokers, lender litigations, and partnership conflicts.
• Experienced and comfortable in a trial setting.
• Proven track record in attending hearings and conducting depositions.
• Prior experience in a prestigious AmLaw 200 law firm with exceptional communication and writing skills.
• Familiarity with the rules and workings of Texas courts is an essential aspect of this role.

Responsibilities:

• Represent clients in intricate business litigation and arbitration cases, covering disputes involving real estate, trademarks, copyrights, securities, insurance, franchisor/franchisee relationships, and corporate and partnership matters.
• Handle conflicts related to partnerships and shareholders, trade secrets misappropriation, trademark infringements, and breaches of non-compete/non-solicitation agreements.
• Manage and oversee litigation in real estate matters, including developer disputes, broker defense, lender litigations, and partnership conflicts in real estate.
• Possess the ability to conduct hearings and depositions with confidence and competence within a trial setting with appropriate guidance.
• Draft complex legal documents, such as motions, pleadings, and briefs.
• Navigate the expectations and demands of a fast-paced environment in a prominent AmLaw 200 law firm.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and clients, offering strategic legal counsel and effective case management.
