What You’ll Be Doing

As an Automation Controls Engineer, you’ll play a critical role in the design, programming, and implementation of advanced control systems used in web handling environments. You'll get to:

• Design and build electrical control systems and panels

• Program PLCs, HMIs, and drives (primarily Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Parker-Hannifin)

• Oversee panel builds and serve as project manager on assigned projects

• Commission systems at client sites (domestic travel up to 6 weeks/year)

• Meet project timelines and budgets

• Develop electrical schematics

• Present ideas and updates to various stakeholders

• Participate in budgeting and planning

• Work with advanced technologies, including robotics and factory automation tools

What You Bring to the Table

To succeed in this role, you’ll need:

• A degree in Electrical Engineering or Controls Engineering

• At least 2 years of experience with:

  • Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or Parker-Hannifin controls

  • HMI programming

  • Web handling systems

• Comfort with occasional travel (up to 6 weeks/year, domestic)

• A stable work history

• U.S. citizenship or Green Card

• Residence within 45 minutes of Appleton, WI
