Our client, a prominent metals manufacturing corporation with global operations, is seeking an AUTOMATION CONTROLS ENGINEER to join their maintenance and engineering team at their advanced manufacturing facility in Davenport, IA. This site is one of the oldest and most established manufacturing locations in the company, promising a stable work environment.

As an Automation Controls Engineer, you will oversee systems engineering in automation and computer systems to support the Manufacturing Unit in achieving its safety, quality, and cost objectives.

• Applicants must be U.S. Citizens or U.S. Permanent Residents. Unfortunately, visa sponsorship is not available at this time.
• A Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Computer, Software Engineering, or a related discipline is required.
• 3 to 5 years of manufacturing experience in HMI/SCADA systems development is necessary.
• Proficiency in Wonderware development is highly preferred.
• Working experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs is a must.
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP networks is required.
• Expertise in SQL programming and relational databases is necessary.
• Previous experience in building client/server applications is mandatory.
• Ability to develop multi-threaded applications is essential.
• Proficiency in software analysis, design, methodology, and architecture is a must.
• Experience managing and configuring Windows operating systems in a networked manufacturing environment is required.
• Collaboration with electronics troubleshooting Technicians on the shop floor is necessary.
• Strong communication skills are essential for effective performance.
