Responsibilities of the Bakery Display Specialist:


We are looking for a dynamic and innovative Bakery Display Specialist who will be responsible for elevating the customer experience in our stores. This role is crucial in achieving our sales and profit goals while ensuring the highest quality standards. The Bakery Display Specialist will oversee all operations of the Bakery department, foster a culture of excellence, and uphold our core values.
- Create schedules that meet customer demand and accommodate associate availability.
- Provide product information and assistance to customers and associates in a friendly and welcoming manner.
- Develop and implement effective product placement strategies to enhance the shopping experience.
- Drive sales, profit, and labor goals for the Bakery department.
- Develop sales strategies based on current trends, seasonal changes, and special promotions.
- Assist in budget preparation and financial reviews, taking necessary actions based on reports.
- Manage inventory levels, identify discrepancies, and ensure optimal stocking conditions.
- Execute price adjustments and maintain accurate shelf tags and promotional signs.
- Plan and supervise inventory processes to maintain accuracy.
- Support store operations during shifts to ensure smooth functioning.
- Communicate relevant information to associates and establish performance goals.
- Control expenses and coach associates to meet performance standards.
- Train associates on inventory management and ordering procedures.
- Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback to associates.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Maintain food safety guidelines and temperature controls.
- Ensure associate participation in training programs and adherence to company policies.
- Promote safety by following procedures and conducting preventive maintenance.
- Report accidents promptly.
- Assist in developing standard operating procedures for the Bakery departments.
- Achieve results through effective teamwork and coaching.
- Communicate clearly and openly.
- Execute tasks with excellence and embrace change and innovation.
- Provide clear and strategic direction.
- Prioritize customer satisfaction.

Qualifications for the Bakery Display Specialist:


- 3-5 years of experience in managing Bakery departments in a multi-unit setting.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous management experience and food safety certification is preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
- Knowledge of recipe development, food costing, gross margin, and department budgets.
- Ability to handle stressful situations and work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Must be physically capable of performing the requirements of the position and be 18 years or older.
- Previous experience in the food retail industry is desirable.
