Banking Litigation Associate

Our client, a prestigious AmLaw 100 law firm, is currently hiring a highly skilled and motivated Associate Attorney to join their esteemed Banking Litigation Practice Group. This unique role offers the opportunity to work remotely or in one of the firm's offices in PA, NY, FL, or NJ. This position does not lead to partnership.

Qualifications:

  • JD from a top-tier law school with a strong academic background.
  • Admission to the bar in the relevant jurisdiction.
  • 3–5 years of experience in litigation, including preparing motions, conducting discovery, conducting depositions, and representing clients in court.
  • Familiarity with UCC's Articles 3 and 4 and experience with consumer protection laws such as EFTA, FCRA, FDCPA, UDAAP, TILA, and RESPA.
  • Strong skills in legal research, writing, and oral advocacy.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and collaborate within a team-based environment.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Represent clients in various litigation matters relating to banking and consumer issues, and oversee all stages of litigation.
  • Draft accurate and clear motions, pleadings, and other legal documents.
  • Manage and handle all aspects of discovery, including depositions and document examination.
  • Attend court hearings and other proceedings as required.
  • Provide guidance to clients on compliance and risk management strategies concerning banking and consumer protection statutes.
