JOB SUMMARY
As a recognized technical engineering expert, you will provide solutions to complex problems and lead project teams in design, implementation, and product launches. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and external resources to drive synergy and alignment. Additionally, you will stay updated on advanced technologies and industry trends to lead new product development. You will be responsible for overseeing diverse projects, providing technical leadership and mentoring to design engineers, and solving critical technical issues. Throughout the product lifecycle, you will ensure successful implementation and resolution of post-launch issues. Your role will involve answering difficult technical questions and solving complex problems that have a broad impact on the business. You will supervise prototype generation, evaluate prototypes, estimate development costs, and ensure that all products meet specifications and have proper documentation. You will review and communicate testing results and participate in the development of corrective actions. Additional duties may be assigned as needed.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS


To qualify for this position, you will need a Master's or Bachelor's degree in engineering, with specialization in the candidate's primary technical discipline. You should have at least 10 years of engineering experience, with expertise in multiple areas of specialty and advanced design experience in product development.

QUALIFICATIONS

In order to be successful in this role, you should have advanced experience in the following areas:

  • Hardware design for Motor Controllers
  • Wireless controls, including RF, BT, and leading technologies
  • Design and fabrication of Permanent Magnet and Brushless DC motors
  • Design of Switch Mode Power Designs (DC marine battery chargers)
  • Embedded C programming for 8, 16, or 32 bit microcontrollers
  • Design, evaluation, and testing of electronic and/or electrical circuits and components

Additionally, you should possess the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:

  • Proven ability to provide technical expertise and leadership, ensuring successful development and design of profitable products
  • Experience managing projects from concept development to implementation and evaluation
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to provide direction, guidance, and motivation to engineers
  • Expert proficiency in engineering relevant products and processes
  • Demonstrated success in overcoming technical challenges and delivering results
  • Performance-focused, persistent, decision-making, open-minded, innovative, creative, and target-oriented mindset
  • Strong organizational and presentation skills for complex technical and project management overviews
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite products such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships
  • Ability to work effectively on cross-functional teams
