Bilingual Mental Health Therapist (Spanish)
Location: Hartford, Connecticut, United States

We are in search of a skilled Mental Health Therapist who is fluent in Spanish to join our dynamic and innovative clinical team. This role will involve providing a comprehensive range of counseling services to clients with mental health, substance use, and co-occurring disorder recovery needs.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Deliver individual and group therapy sessions to assigned clients.
  • Offer intake services for our Behavioral Health program as needed and conduct assessments as required.
  • Maintain an active caseload of regular clients while meeting agency productivity standards.
  • Ensure appropriate referrals are made and maintain communication with other therapists, physicians, and agencies involved in the client's case.
  • Feel confident and comfortable addressing issues related to homelessness, substance abuse, mental health diagnoses, and a history of trauma.
  • Demonstrate a strong knowledge and competency in diagnosing, assessing, and treating behavioral health disorders.
  • Communicate effectively both in written and verbal form.
  • Collaborate effectively with an interdisciplinary team of professionals.
  • Achieve high levels of client satisfaction.
  • Exhibit age-specific and population-specific competencies in their area(s) of practice, including a strong understanding of individual, group, and family system dynamics.
  • Display cultural competency and the ability to serve a diverse client population.
  • Successfully pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Must hold a Master's degree in social work.
  • 0-5 years of experience in the field.
  • Must possess independent licensure in the state of Connecticut (LCSW, LMFT, LPC, etc.).
  • Bilingual fluency in Spanish and English is mandatory.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proven ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary team.
  • Demonstrated capacity to generate high levels of client satisfaction.
  • Aptitude for age-specific and population-specific competencies in their area(s) of practice, including a comprehensive understanding of individual, group, and family system dynamics.
  • Flexible and able to multitask effectively.
  • Culturally sensitive and capable of serving a diverse client population.

Pay: $51,900.00 - $70,000.00 per year
