Location: Los Angeles, CA

A highly regarded and forward-thinking healthcare organization, specializing in the maintenance and repair of medical equipment for hospitals and healthcare systems, is currently seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Biomedical Equipment Technician (BMET) to join their team.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a Senior BMET who can effectively maintain and repair medical equipment through the completion of necessary repair, maintenance, and operational verification procedures. This position requires someone experienced in the repair, calibration, and maintenance of a wide range of complex medical equipment. The successful candidate will also be responsible for performing quality assurance testing, training staff on the proper use of equipment, and coordinating with clinical staff to meet their needs.


  • Analyze, troubleshoot, and repair medical equipment using electronic tests and measurements
  • Perform scheduled maintenance, calibrations, and modifications based on department procedures and manufacturers' recommendations
  • Train medical and clinical staff on the safe and proper use of medical equipment
  • Stay up to date with medical equipment technology and networking technology
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and adjustments performed on equipment
  • Assist in the installation and modification of new medical equipment
  • Request and order the necessary repair and spare parts


  • Associate Degree in electronics or biomedical equipment technology (or equivalent military service training)
  • Minimum of three years of hospital-based or medical equipment service experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office or similar software (primarily Word and Excel)
  • Knowledge of networking technology
  • Valid US state driver's license and a good driving record

Skills and Abilities:

  • Proficient in understanding the operation of electronic, electromechanical, and pneumatic devices
  • Ability to work independently in the repair, maintenance, and verification of medical equipment

Background check and drug screening required.

Must have a valid US driver's license and a good driving record.

Must be authorized to work in the US without Visa sponsorship.
