Biomedical Equipment Service Technician III

Looking for a Senior Biomedical Equipment Service Technician with at least 5 years of relevant experience. Must possess a valid US driver's license and be authorized to work in the US without Visa sponsorship.

Our company is an innovative leader in healthcare, specializing in providing service for medical equipment in healthcare systems and hospitals. We are currently recruiting a Biomedical Equipment Technician (BMET) III with a minimum of 5 years of experience in repairing and maintaining medical equipment.

Job Summary

Maintain and repair equipment by conducting necessary repairs, periodic maintenance, and operational verification procedures. This position involves skilled technical and advisory work in repairing, maintaining, and calibrating general and/or complex medical equipment. Quality assurance testing, calibration, and the ability to manage multiple projects are expected.

•Utilize established electronic tests and measurement equipment and techniques to analyze, troubleshoot, and repair medical equipment and systems.
•Perform scheduled maintenance, calibrations, and modifications on medical equipment and systems according to department procedures, manufacturers' recommendations, and applicable codes and standards.
•Provide training to medical and clinical staff on the proper and safe use of medical equipment and systems. Regular interaction with clinical staff is necessary to ensure their needs are met.
•Possess knowledge of medical equipment technology and networking technology.
•Accurately document and maintain records of all inspections, repairs, adjustments, etc., performed on equipment.
•May assist in the installation or install new medical equipment and modifications.
•Follow established procedures and contract relationships to request and/or order necessary repair and spare parts.

•An associate degree or equivalent in electronics or biomedical equipment technology is strongly preferred. Military service training equivalent will also be considered.
Minimum of five or more years of experience in hospital-based or medical equipment service.
•Proficiency in Microsoft Office or similar products, primarily Word and Excel, is required.
•Proficiency and knowledge of networking technology are necessary.
•Must possess a valid US driver's license and maintain a good driving record.


Education and Experience:

  • Minimum of 5+ years of biomedical equipment repair experience.
  • Associate's degree or 2-year certificate in Electronics Technology or Biomedical Equipment Technology, or equivalent military experience.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to understand the operation of electronic, electromechanical, and pneumatic devices.
  • Capability to work independently in repairing, conducting periodic maintenance, and verifying the operation of medical equipment.

Complete background check and drug screening required.

A valid US driver's license and a good driving record are necessary.

Must be authorized to work in the US without Visa sponsorship.
