Hours and Compensation Potential:

This is a full-time position with day shift hours. There will be a rotation for on-call duties.

Compensation ranges from $24.50/hr to $33.50/hr, depending on experience.

What We're Seeking:

We require an Associates Degree in electronics, biomedical engineering, or any other technical discipline that contributes to expertise in maintaining and repairing clinical equipment within a healthcare setting.

You must have a minimum of 2 years of experience as a BMET 1 or higher within a healthcare facility.

Ability to grasp the fundamentals of LAN/WAN integration for effective collaboration across different groups and teams when necessary.

Your Responsibilities:

Under the moderate supervision of the Department Manager/BMET Supervisor and senior technicians, your duties will include inspecting, repairing, maintaining, and calibrating various kinds of basic clinical equipment, devices, systems, and instruments.

Regular interaction with other healthcare providers will be necessary to identify technology-based problems and develop appropriate solutions.

As a BMET II, you will have the ability to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain a wide range of clinical inventory devices.

Participating in and conducting on-the-job training programs is also expected, covering technical, administrative, and customer service requirements.

You will be aiming to achieve the status of a BMET III by demonstrating proficiency with sophisticated clinical devices and systems, the ability to mentor and train junior technicians, and developing leadership, supervisory, and administrative skills.

Ensure strict adherence to the departmental Medical Equipment Management Plan (MEMP) in performing all tasks.

Regularly monitor "Corrective" and "Scheduled" Open Work Order reports to ensure timely completion and accuracy of work requests.

Place orders for necessary parts or vendor services to maintain equipment within manufacturer's specifications.

As required, schedule and oversee third-party activities.

Additional Information:

Reporting to the BioMed Manager, you will be a part of a 6-person team across multiple campuses.

You will work alongside a supportive team in a dynamic environment. This position holds some coordination responsibilities as it requires working with vendors and imaging while maintaining organization.
