Job Summary:
  • Minimum requirement of an Associate Degree in BioMed equipment technology or electronic technology, or equivalent BioMed experience. Proficient understanding of anatomy and physiology as they pertain to medical and test equipment. Demonstrated leadership abilities and strong interpersonal skills. Previous experience in the field of biomedical technology is advantageous. Certification as a Bio Med Equipment Technician is a plus. Must possess a valid driver's license.
Biomedical Technician Job Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Responsible for the installation and adjustment of new equipment, as well as testing and calibration to ensure optimal performance
  • Ensure compliance with codes by conducting thorough assessments of potential biomedical equipment
  • Maintain inventory of supplies by predicting needs, conducting stock counts, placing orders, and verifying deliveries
  • Demonstrate the proper operation of biomedical equipment, provide information and data, offer instructions on equipment use and maintenance, and address any queries from users
  • Perform tests, adhere to preventive maintenance guidelines, repair and troubleshoot equipment breakdowns, evaluate service contracts, arrange special services if needed, and maintain inventories to keep biomedical equipment in working order
  • Analyze and collect trends and information to prepare reports
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements and knowledge in the field by reading technical journals, pursuing educational opportunities, and establishing professional networks
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of patient information
  • Contribute to the organizational goals by identifying opportunities to add value to job responsibilities and fulfilling innovative requests
  • Ensure a safe and healthy work environment by adhering to and suggesting procedures, conducting safety tests, complying with codes, and providing guidance and training to healthcare personnel
Biomedical Technician Skills and Qualifications:
