The role of Bridge Superintendent is responsible for overseeing the construction of structures projects, managing the field crew and subcontractors, and ensuring the timely and safe completion of all projects with a focus on high-quality workmanship.

Key Responsibilities:

• Demonstrate a strong commitment to safety by leading by example, providing training, and enforcing safe work practices and company policies.
• Optimize crew size and equipment usage to achieve cost-effective productivity based on project estimates.
• Efficiently schedule materials to minimize disruption to work activities.
• Actively participate in weekly look-ahead schedule meetings to effectively plan and execute work.
• Understand and manage project budgets and costs in alignment with estimates.
• Thoroughly understand contract drawings and specifications to ensure accurate project execution.
• Complete work activities fully before moving on to the next task and maintain clean and organized work areas.
• Identify and document additional work requirements and promptly notify supervisors.
• Maintain and properly use company-owned equipment, including trucks and tools.
• Minimize costs by effectively managing the use of rental equipment from external sources.
• Submit daily paperwork, such as timesheets, material tickets, and truck tickets, in an organized and timely manner.
• Promote teamwork and collaborate effectively with other foremen and employees.
• Analyze work activities for potential safety concerns, such as fall protection and excavation support, and take appropriate measures.
• Instruct and ensure all crew members use safety equipment, such as hard hats and lanyards, correctly.
• Ensure availability and use of proper safety equipment by all field personnel.
• Maintain strong communication with customers to ensure high levels of satisfaction.
• Coordinate work and goals with contractors or subcontractors as needed.
