This is a full-time opportunity for a Mechanical Engineer Applications Engineer at a highly regarded industrial manufacturer specializing in environmentally friendly products that offer significant cost and energy savings. The role utilizes industry-specific engineering software, designed to automate the entire sales applications engineering process. Customers input data into the website, and the software generates quotes, proposals, and follow-ups, enabling the Sales Application Engineers to focus on delivering the best product solutions. Customers can receive quotes and proposals within fifteen minutes of submitting their information. This position does not require any travel. Responsibilities for this role include:
  • Spending 30% of the time on phone interactions (approximately twenty to twenty-five calls daily)
  • Applying engineering expertise to understand and address customer needs
  • Problem-solving and providing solutions to customer inquiries
  • Collaborating throughout the sales process
  • Analyzing customer requirements and offering suitable alternative proposals
  • Communicating effectively through phone, email, and virtual platforms


Experience in combustion-related engineering would be advantageous. Successful candidates should possess the following qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in engineering
  • A minimum of five years of experience in mechanical engineering
  • Excellent phone communication skills and a customer-service mindset
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • At least two years of experience in industrial sales
  • A consistent employment history
  • US citizenship or Green Card holder status
  • Residence within a 45-minute commute of the worksite
