Business Development Associates - Remote Available

Location: Preferred - candidates located in Dallas, Texas or Phoenix, AZ, or those willing to move to Dallas or Phoenix. With the appropriate qualifications, you can be based anywhere in the United States and work remotely (with the option to work in-office if desired).

Firm Overview: We are a private equity investment firm operating in the lower middle market. Our focus is on supporting independent sponsors and acquisition entrepreneurs, providing them with investment advice and direct equity capital through our unique strategies and relationships. Our goal is to create value for entrepreneurs, investors, and the companies we invest in.

Position Description: As a Business Development Associate, you will be responsible for leading our private equity deal sourcing efforts across various industries. This will involve building relationships with investment bankers, brokers, and other intermediaries, as well as reaching out to business owners. You will also manage proprietary deal sourcing projects and support the overall business development and marketing initiatives of our firm. In addition, you will review acquisition opportunities, provide initial analysis, and share insights with the SVP of Business Development. This role will give you the opportunity to work closely with our Founding Partners and interact directly with management teams, advisors, lenders, and investors.

We will provide you with hands-on private equity training to ensure you have the necessary skills and resources to effectively carry out your responsibilities. This is a role that offers career growth opportunities for the right candidate.

· An individual who follows through on delegated tasks and assignments.

· An individual with ideally 2-4 years of post-undergraduate experience and a strong drive to proactively search for deals - finding the "needles in a haystack."

· An individual with 1-3 years of experience in direct sales, managing and building a pipeline of prospects.

· Someone with experience or knowledge in one or more of the following industries: healthcare, business services, government services, home services (roofing, plumbing, HVAC, etc.), niche manufacturing, and distribution.

· A Bachelor's Degree is required.

Associate responsibilities include:

· Lead generation and acquisition sourcing (30% of the job) and inbound high-quality lead qualification (70-80% of the job). This includes corporate development and deal sourcing for acquisitions.

· Manage and respond to inbound deal flow via email in a prompt and tactful manner.

· Evaluate business acquisition opportunities using a checklist of criteria.

· Present actionable opportunities to the SVP of Business Development and Partners in the form of bullet points.

· Review materials to gather essential information and request additional data via email or phone calls to fill in any gaps.

· Proactively search for new acquisition opportunities using deal sourcing platforms.

· Manage and maintain our proprietary list of business acquisition intermediaries.

· Coordinate in-person networking events on an occasional basis.

· Support the SVP of Business Development with various tasks and initiatives as required.
