Salary: C$90,000 to C$120,000 + Bonus + Comprehensive Benefits

Our organization is currently seeking a skilled Business Growth Manager to drive profitable growth in the Waterloo area.

As the Business Growth Manager, you will report to the Regional Vice President and be responsible for achieving profitable growth by selling a range of solutions in a cohesive manner while also managing the existing portfolio. This role entails developing an in-depth understanding of distributors' business models and propositions. Additionally, the Business Growth Manager will develop customized business plans to optimize identified opportunities that align with our market strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accountable for achieving sales targets by actively pursuing new and renewed account opportunities, collaborating with a team of sales specialists and underwriter resources to facilitate successful closures.

• Engages in discussions with distributors to develop comprehensive distributor profiles and business plans.

• Conducts thorough opportunity assessments with key distributors, identifying areas for distributor growth that align with our range of insurance products and services.

• Establishes strong business relationships across various levels of the distributor's organization.

• Conducts regular sales calls with distributors and internal stakeholders as needed.

• Collaborates with Business Units to execute distributor business plans.

• Conducts regular performance reviews with distributors to ensure effective execution of the business plan.

• Evaluates accounts to determine compatibility with our company's objectives.

• Negotiates with distributors, in partnership with underwriters, to successfully close accounts.

• Executes strategies to increase product density at existing accounts.

• Cultivates internal relationships with various Business Units to present a unified approach to the market.

• Acts as the primary point of contact for distributor concerns and business-related matters.

• Manages the sales pipeline effectively.

• Achieves goals related to sales calls, submissions, hit ratios, and production.

• Implements sales strategies and campaigns efficiently.

• Business Travel within Waterloo, ON region, with a focus on in-person interactions.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 5 years of experience in Sales or Underwriting

• At least 7 years of experience in Sales or Underwriting

• Leadership experience in managing multidisciplinary teams

Preferred Qualifications:

• Proven ability to execute effective sales strategies

• Excellent communication skills

• Strong ability to foster critical business relationships with internal and external stakeholders

• In-depth understanding of the Waterloo, ON insurance industry from a market and underwriting perspective
