Business Development & Operations Manager

POSITION SUMMARY:

We are seeking a Business Operations Manager to drive the growth and development of our company in Belle Vernon, PA. This role will focus on expanding our presence in the CNG Transportation & Marketing, Field Gas Condition & Compression, and LNG markets. You will be responsible for creating and executing a comprehensive business plan, identifying key business segments for growth, and acquiring and maintaining new customers within these segments. Additionally, you will oversee administrative functions and streamline processes to ensure customer satisfaction throughout the sales and delivery processes.

JOB DUTIES:

  • Lead and manage sales and operational efforts, taking responsibility for the overall profit and loss of our new business segment.
  • Develop and implement strategies to strengthen existing customer relationships and ensure their continued loyalty.
  • Collaborate with our transportation and oil & gas field services divisions to transition customers from diesel fuel to CNG, LNG, or field gas products.
  • Create pricing models for our products and work with our transportation team to determine optimal freight pricing.
  • Identify and allocate necessary resources to effectively provide services to customers, including equipment rental and field labor services.
  • Work with our safety team to ensure compliance with safety requirements and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Manage subcontractors to supplement our service offerings.
  • Oversee the delivery and maintenance of equipment to ensure reliable operations.
  • Supervise the field team responsible for providing services on-site.
  • Deliver excellent customer service, addressing any issues or inquiries promptly and effectively.
  • Implement detailed processes to minimize mistakes, spills, releases, and injuries.
  • Manage bid contracts and deadlines, organizing bids for future reference and monitoring customer contractual obligations.
  • Provide timely and accurate customer quotes, working closely with the credit and supply teams.
  • Ensure accurate and prompt invoicing and resolve any accounts receivable discrepancies.
  • Prospect new customers and maintain a detailed list of potential clients.
  • Pursue major account prospects and establish relationships with key purchasers.
  • Exceed volume and gross profit objectives by acquiring new quality/volume bids.
  • Maximize account potential within credit limits and manage delivery issues.
  • Work with supply teams to optimize account potential through index and risk management programs.
  • Navigate the complex sales process in the petroleum industry, understanding supply and demand dynamics.
  • Communicate professionally and clearly with customers, management, and colleagues.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Proven success in the oil and gas, CNG, and CNG transportation industries.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Strong decision-making abilities and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Windows, Internet Explorer, and MS-Office.
  • In-depth knowledge of the petroleum industry is a plus.
