TITLE: Cardiovascular Interventional Radiology Tech / Cardiac Cath Lab

SUMMARY:

We are seeking a skilled Cardiovascular Interventional Radiology Tech to perform and assist in direct and indirect patient care and procedures under the supervision of physicians. This role involves critical thinking to ensure the delivery of safe, high-quality care to adult and geriatric patients. Additionally, the ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent documentation, communication, and collaboration skills, while adhering to organizational policies, regulatory requirements, and professional practice standards.

SOME RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• Assisting physicians in invasive procedures, such as cardiac catheterization, vascular angiograms, stenting, and pacemaker implants
• Conducting comprehensive patient assessments and documenting relevant information
• Start and maintain intravenous access and oxygen administration as ordered
• Utilizing principles of sterile technique
• Providing thorough post-procedure and discharge instructions to patients, family members, or caregivers
• Developing, revising, and analyzing action plans for completing procedures
• Conducting glucometer testing and EKG monitoring
• Performing radiographic procedures and operating radiographic equipment
• Administering prescribed medications under the direct supervision of physicians
• Delivering safe interventions in an organized, efficient, and prioritized manner
• Collaborating and communicating effectively with team members, physicians, and other healthcare providers
• Providing relevant healthcare education and instructions to patients and family members

EDUCATION/REQUIREMENTS:

• Graduate of an accredited program for radiology technology, with a focus on anatomy, physiology, radiation physics, and interpersonal communication skills
• Must possess and maintain a current radiographer license from the State of Ohio Department of Health and a current A.R.R.T. registry as an R.T.
• Preferred: Advanced Registry From A.R.R.T. in Cardiovascular (CV), Cardiac Intervention (CI), or Vascular Intervention (VI)
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) Healthcare Provider CPR (BLS) certification required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required within one year
• Preferred: Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS)

ADDITIONAL INFO:

Our department is known for its exceptional team and our director is highly respected. This is a full-time position with working hours between 8am and 5:30pm, on-call rotation one day a week, and every 4th weekend. Compensation for this position will range from $60,000 to $90,000, depending on experience, and includes a comprehensive benefits package.
