Cath Lab Technologist

Join our team as a Catheterization Laboratory Technician in Lewiston, ID! We are offering a $20,000 Sign-on Bonus with a 3-year commitment. To qualify for the sign-on bonus, a minimum of 1-year Cath Lab experience is required.

Relocation assistance is also available, up to $10,000. This comes with a 2-year work requirement, paid out within 30 days of submission of receipts. If someone receives both the sign-on and relocation assistance, the total commitment would be for 3 years.

Salary: The salary offered is based on years of experience. The minimum is 0 years of experience, and the maximum is 29/30 years of experience.

Shift/Weekend Rotation: This is a Monday – Friday position with 8-hour shifts from 7am – 3:30pm.

Call Schedule: While on call, you will receive $4.00/hour. The minimum requirement is a minimum of 8 shifts per month, with 1-2 weekends included.

Call Back: When called in at time and a half, you will receive a minimum of 2 hours of pay.

Volume/Caseload: You can expect to have 30 or more scheduled cases per week.

Types of Procedures: As a Catheterization Laboratory Technician, you will perform procedures such as TCAR, AAA, Peripheral vascular, Pacemakers, Defibrillators, Right and Left Heart Cath, STEMI, and Stroke.

Shift Differentials:

  • Evening Shift (3pm – 11:30pm) = 8% differential
  • Night Shift (11:00pm – 7:30am) = 11% differential
  • No Weekend Differential

The Cath Lab Technologist role involves operating radiographic fluoroscopic equipment and performing general diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in the cardiovascular catheterization laboratory. You will work with physicians, technologists, and nurses to maintain a customer-friendly environment in the lab. Responsibilities also include participating in the call rotation and adhering to variable shift scheduling. Compliance with all hospital and applicable regulatory standards of licenses/certificate is essential.

Minimum Requirements:

  • One of the following certifications:
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
  • Cardiovascular technologist (CVT)
  • Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS)
  • National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT)
  • Advanced Emergency Medical Technician (AEMT)
  • Certified Surgical Technologist (CST)
  • BLS certification on the first day or to be assigned by the Learning Center
  • ACLS certification within 3 months of hire (to be assigned by the Learning Center)
  • At least 1 year of experience in diagnostic and interventional procedures in a cardiac and/or general catheterization laboratory
  • At least 1 year of experience in digital and cine imaging and archiving
  • Required roles for this position are:
  • X-ray Proficiency
  • Monitoring Proficiency
  • Scrubbing Proficiency
