Central Sterile Technician / Sterile Processing Tech
JOB TITLE: Central Sterile Technician(CRCST) / Sterile Processing Tech
LOCATION: Centerburg, Ohio

Key Qualifications:
•Mandatory certification as a Central Service Technician from a nationally recognized organization or ability to obtain within one year of hire
•Active American Heart Association (AHA) Healthcare Provider CPR (BLS) certification
Working Hours and Compensation:
•Full-time position, Monday to Friday, with three available shifts: 1) 10am-6:30pm, 2) 11am-7:30pm, and 3) 12pm-8:30pm (on-call required every 4th weekend).
•Salary range between $19hr-$28hr depending on experience, with additional benefits. We also offer a generous $10,000 sign-on bonus.
Responsibilities:
•Contribute to the decontamination, cleaning, assembling, packaging, sterilization, scanning, storage, and distribution of reusable instruments and equipment.
•Comply with organizational policies, regulatory/accrediting body requirements, and professional practice standards (e.g., OSHA, CDC, AAMI, AORW, IAHCSMM, and The Joint Commission).
•Demonstrate proficiency in identifying specialty instruments, supplies, and equipment unique to surgical services.
•Monitor and adjust supply usage in the Central Sterile area according to changes in demand.
•Follow established standards and manufacturer's recommendations for decontamination, cleaning, reprocessing, and sterilization duties.
•Maintain a clean work area and adhere to accurate sterilization records.
•Process endoscopes as per manufacturer's guidelines.
•Perform routine biological testing of sterilization equipment.
•Inspect instruments, request repairs or replacements with Department Director approval, and remove defective instruments from service.
•Coordinate the repair and loaner equipment arrangements for instruments out of service with the Perioperative Supply and Equipment Specialist.
•Provide in-services and act as a resource to staff regarding new instruments.
