Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the OT in developing a comprehensive rehabilitation plan.
- Assist in selecting appropriate therapy activities based on the needs and capabilities of the residents.
- Support residents in carrying out their daily activities.
- Monitor and encourage residents' performance in therapy activities.
- Teach residents how to utilize specialized equipment for daily functioning.
- Supervise and ensure proper completion of residents' activities.
- Provide progress reports to the OT.
- Maintain accurate and responsible documentation of treatments and outcomes using rehab software.
Requirements:
- Completion of an accredited OTA Program.
- Valid OTA License issued by the state of New York.
- Prior experience in a long-term care setting is advantageous.
