What we're searching for:
•Qualified candidates must hold a Master's degree in Divinity or a related field
•Completion of four units of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE)
•Certification or eligibility for certification by the National Association of Catholic Chaplains (NACC)
•Ability to uphold the values, ethics, and mission of the APC, NACC, and the Ethical and Religious Directives for Catholic Health Services.
Hours and compensation:
•This is a full-time position
•Compensation ranging from $24.50/hr to $33.50/hr based on experience
•We offer a comprehensive benefits package and up to $1,000 for relocation expenses.
•As a Chaplain, you will serve as a vital member of our interdisciplinary team, providing spiritual support, guidance, and advocacy to patients, family members, and staff. This includes providing education on topics such as Advanced Directives, ethics, spirituality, religion, and bereavement.
•You will excel in effective communication through active listening and responsive engagement.
•Respecting and honoring religious, spiritual, and cultural diversity is an essential aspect of this role.
•Active participation in self-evaluation processes is expected.
•A thorough understanding of crisis intervention theory is required.
•Utilize knowledge of Advanced Directives to offer guidance, assistance, and support in ethical decision-making.
•As an advocate, negotiator, counselor, and facilitator of family conferences, you will demonstrate strong interpersonal skills.
•Working alongside faith group leaders and lay representatives will be a regular part of your responsibilities.
•Maintain a collaborative approach within the department and effectively communicate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure continuum of care.
•You will be responsible for identifying and resolving ethical dilemmas.
