POSITION: Chief Radiation Therapist
LOCATION: Centerburg, Ohio

Qualifications:
•Completion of a recognized Radiation Therapy Training Program.
•Valid license from the ARRT specifically for Radiation Therapy - ARRT (T)
•Maintain a valid Radiation Therapist license issued by the Ohio Department of Health.
•3-5 years of experience in radiation therapy, including specialized training in simulation and planning; preferably, possess a Bachelor's degree in a related field.
•Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider (BLS) certification is required.
Working hours and compensation:
•Full-time position, Monday to Friday, from 7 am to 3:30 pm (on-call rotation for one week every three weeks). No weekends or holidays.
•Salary ranges between $84,000 and $107,000, depending on experience. Comprehensive benefits package, including a $15,000 sign-on bonus.
Responsibilities:
•Performing radiation therapist duties and fulfilling assigned administrative tasks given by the department director.
•Reviewing, writing, and updating radiation policies and procedures.
•Educating staff on policies, procedures, and the requirements set by the Ohio Department of Health (ODH).
•Reviewing and ensuring compliance with the administrative code requirements of the Ohio Department of Health (ODH), providing assistance to the department director in meeting these requirements.
•Monitoring and ensuring completion of equipment quality checks, maintaining proper records, and ensuring equipment operates safely and effectively.
•Monitoring and ensuring completion of preventive maintenance and repairs.
•Leading and documenting radiation therapy Quality Assurance and Improvement meetings.
•Assisting in the development of QA/QI plans and acting as a resource for the staff. Assisting the director in meeting the standards set by the Commission on Cancer (CoC).
•Coordinating patient care based on individual needs.
•Contributing to the selection, training, and orientation of radiation therapy personnel.
•Assisting the director in evaluating staff competencies and performances.
•Staying updated with radiation oncology billing procedures and assisting the director with edits and audits.
•Supporting the physicist in meeting quality and safety requirements, and assisting in the implementation and continuous use of electronic medical records.
Complete understanding of therapy equipment, including but not limited to:
-The VARIAN linear accelerator and patient protection devices
-Hardware and software for all patient information systems (HIS, PACS, RIS, IMPAC, etc)
-CT Simulation Unit
-Portal Vision
